It focuses on the idea of evaluating the present and reshaping the future by starting from the experiences of the past. This theme works with the focus of taking more conscious and creative steps for the future by blending the knowledge and experiences of the past with the needs of today, especially in areas such as technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, education and social transformation. The keyword of TEDx is diversity of topics!
What is TEDx?
A TEDx event is a local community event where talks and performances, such as ‘TEDTalks’, are held. TEDx events are planned in a completely independent manner, based on the community. Each TEDx event is designed to be independent and unique, with certain commonalities.
What TEDx is Not;
- TEDx is not an industry or marketing conference. It is not necessarily tied to any particular topic or field. It cannot be used to sell something, etc.
- The TEDx event is not organized by or intended to serve any special interest political, religious, or commercial groups.
- TEDx event is a platform created for speeches by individuals who do this job professionally, such as life coaches and motivational speakers.
- A TEDx event doesn’t just focus on entrepreneurship, business or technology. The keyword for TEDx is diversity!

Prof. Dr. Ünsal Sığrı
Prof. Dr. Ünsal Sığrı is a faculty member and Vice Rector at OSTİM Technical University. He is a professor of Business Administration. He completed his postdoctoral studies in the USA with a TÜBİTAK scholarship. He has numerous international and national books, articles and papers in the fields of Leadership, Strategic Management and Planning, Organizational Change and Development, Organizational Behavior, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation. In addition to being the chief trainer of mediators and conciliators in our country, Prof. Sığrı carries out projects in international organizations such as the European Union-Council of Europe-United Nations-NATO. Prof. Sığrı provides training for the professional development of professional managers and trainers in the public and private sectors, and provides management and strategy consultancy and mentoring to businesses and institutions.
Prof. Dr. Uğur Batı
Prof. Dr. Uğur Batı is the author of 21 books, including some bestsellers. His books are used as textbooks in more than 60 universities. He has curated art exhibitions, prepared collections, and written art books and articles for names such as Devrim Erbil, Mustafa Günen, and Kenan Işık. He received his BA from Boğaziçi University, three MAs from Marmara and Yeditepe Universities, and his PhD in communication sciences from Marmara University. He specialized in semiotics, rhetoric, and linguistics-based communication, art management, organizational behavior, and marketing. Batı, who also received pedagogy training, has studied brand communities with behavioral science, ethnography, and semiotics. His books published by publishing houses such as Alfa, Doğan Kitap, and Everest stand out as Advertising Language, Enneagram and Personality Analysis, and Sinaps. He has also written novels and fiction.
Dr. Aslı Elif Tanuğur Samancı
Dr. Aslı Elif Tanuğur Samancı is a Food Engineer and Biologist and the founder of BEEO, Turkey's first domestic propolis producer. After graduating from ITU Food Engineering in 1996, she worked as R&D and Quality Director in the bee products sector for 18 years. She completed her two master's degrees at ITU and completed her doctorate on bee venom at Düzce University in 2021. She started producing propolis due to her son's immune problems and founded BEEO with her husband Taylan Samancı in 2013. With 550,000 hives, more than 200 employees and 5,000 contracted beekeepers, it is Turkey's largest bee products producer. Its products are sold in Turkey and 37 countries, and have won more than 90 awards. Dr. Samancı aims to make Anatolian propolis a global brand.
Elvan Odabaşı
Elvan Odabaşı, with her 21 years of experience, is more than a dietician, she is a transformation leader of healthy living. She is known for her microbiota-based health models, women's health projects and food initiatives. Projects such as Formeo, Hitalks and Feel Well, which she founded, bring local knowledge together with the future. She inspires different age groups with her books "Weight to Your Fullest", "The Notebook of Dreams" and "Dreams from the Lemon Case". She prepares and presents health-themed programs on television and digital broadcasts. As a mother, entrepreneur, writer and civil society volunteer, she advocates for a good life that is accessible to everyone. Her story is the common story of women who transform, children who dream and societies who heal.
Zülal Tannur
Zülal Tannur is the founder and CEO of Silicon Valley-based NeuroVision AI Tech and its subsidiary FROM YOUR EYES. She develops artificial vision systems that mimic biological vision to transform the lives of visually impaired individuals. As the Microsoft Imagine Cup World Champion, FROM YOUR EYES has received mentorship and a $100,000 award from Satya Nadella. Zülal is the first visually impaired individual to be trained as a Microsoft Technology Ambassador and has received leadership awards from Microsoft and Google. A graduate of Boğaziçi University, she continues her neuroscience education at Arizona State University. She was selected as the Most Inclusive Leader at the Global Recognition Awards and has won awards at prestigious platforms such as TOYP and TEKNOFEST. Her mission is to make technology more accessible and inclusive.
